Resort 2017 : Carolina Herrera

It is this year that Carolina Herrera will be celebrating her 35th year in the industry. She is one of the biggest designers in Fashion and it has been great to see how her collections have evolved over the years she has had her label. It was last season that Carolina said; "I want to see women looking beautiful, but in an actual way... I am very pro new technology," but it seems for Resort 2017 she has definitely resorted back to classic Carolina Herrera. Simplicity, elegance and femininity - executed with a gorgeous lengthening feminine sillouhette.

Carolina embraced sillouhettees for sure this season, and for me, it was the foundation of this particular collection. She opted for wide-legged tailored white trousers for the first look, later followed with peplum designs and looks which are pinched at the waist. It truly is a beautiful collection. The feminine feel that Caroline conveys through her creations is one of the reasons she is so renowned and respected. Perhaps we could compare this collection to a 1950s Chanel line - and personally for me, I am a huge fan of that classic style. She included a gorgeous fur coat graced with a black and white floral design, teamed with cropped black cigarette trousers and classic stiletto pumps. A simply classic look - that guarantees the woman to stand out from the crowd. Rugby inspired blocked stripes were also a stand out, being incorporated onto a multi-coloured tried co-ordinate of shorts and a jacket, and an evening dress with the same design. Gorgeous.
