Resort 2016 : Boss

I really liked this collection from Hugo Boss. Jason Wu, the art director of the german brand who has designed dresses for the likes of Michelle Obama, has really focused on a casual feel this season. Previously, I haven't written about this brand, but this collection really enticed me. I loved it.

It was different to other collections as no heels were included - and if you follow me on social media or read my blog often, you will know I absolutely love my heels. It seems that Wu really had the busy, casual yet stylish woman in mind when designing this collection. I particularly like the colour scheme within this set. Starting with light blues then dramatically changing to bright red and sharp black. For me, I can compare the collection to Victoria Beckham's niche. Stylish, Tailored and Sophisticated. 3 words that I really dwell on when looking for pieces for myself.

This collection really let off a masculine feel too. Much of this collection was very suit based - which is great for the women who have that masculine side to their wardrobe. However, Wu incorporated skirts and dresses into the collection whilst still keeping that tailored feel. This collection is perfect for work duties or formal occasions but even for those ladies who generally love to look smart and on point. Regarding accessories, I was in love. I loved the colour blocked flats teamed with the colour block bags - it gives off this luxurious feel by being so minimalistic. You can tell that Jason Wu is a gifted tailor and he uses this to his advantage when designing for Hugo Boss and it clearly shows with the final result. Colour block bags are a great way to add a pop of colour to an outfit. Some women may not feel comfortable wearing bright pieces of clothing, so adding that little pop of colour with shoes and bags create a totally different vibe to your look. Whether that colour be bold and bright, or soft and pastel - you can achieve a totally different look with accessories.
