AW15 : Chanel

As you all know, I am a lover of Chanel. I am obsessed with everything the brand is. From the history of the brand to the current collections by Karl, Chanel is always so interesting - and ultimately feminine. Something that makes Chanel, Chanel. From beautiful tweeds to soft leather quiltings the traditional Chanel features are still just as in tact today, and thats what makes Chanel so important and delicate.

I was extremely excited to see the Chanel collection. Not only because I knew I would 100% love it, but also to see Cara. She was last seen gracing the SS15 Shows with brands such as Saint Laurent and Chanel, but this fashion month she wasn't seen. It was absolutely great to see her back to what her roots and taking a break from her acting goals. It was fantastic to see her again. I last saw her in the flesh at the Burberry AW15 Show in London, but it was great to actually see her walk a show. It was Cara who actually opened this show.

Karl knows that fashion is fast-paced, and this is why he is so good at what he does. He brings out collections for Chanel that just get better and better. I would say this collection was more dark romance than his AW14 and SS15 colourful Chanel collections. Blacks, Whites and greys dominated the collection with pops of colour here and there to send us back to Parisian 60s vibes. The sillouhettes and tweed give us the real Coco Chanel feel, which is what it is all about at the end of the day. One of Karl's strongest collections from Chanel as far as I am concernerned.

It was every inch Chanel, with a twist at the start. Huge quilting, which was quite different. Channeling the iconic quilting of the classic Chanel bag. The show was held at the famous Grand Palais, turning the set into the Brasserie Gabrielle to showcase Karl's latest collection. There was only one design of shoe throughout the whole show. A black toe capped, nude slingback shoe with a heel. Lagerfeld loved how the shoe gave his models beauty and confidence, swell as comfort when walking. Something all of us ladies love! Lagerfeld is showing us how much of a wardrobe essential this show is as it matches everything. I love the style of the shoe aswell -  bringing back the old beauty of the 1920s Parisian Vibe when Coco started out her brand.
