London Attire

So, since I haven't done any personal style posts for you guys in what seems like forever, I thought it would be appropriate to start on my trip to Mayfair yesterday! I took my mum to the Park Lane Hotel in Mayfair on Wednesday - and it was absolutely beautiful and we both had a great time. It was a late mother's day present and I wanted it to be different! If you haven't been before, I would 100% recommend it, as the atmosphere is so lovely and food is absolutely spot on. It's not too pricey either actually, it is definitely reasonable for such a great experience.

Now, onto my outfit. I have an obsession with midi-skirts. For my shape, I think they're very flattering. They're figure hugging and give the body a smooth slimline look. The problem with me is that it's just sometimes TOO cold to be wearing skirts - regardless of length. I braved it and wore them with some opaque tights and leather boots. I don't think it looks too bad actually! So even if it's cold, I now know I can throw some tights on and I am good to go!
As we are still in the AW14 season, just coming into the Pre-SS15 season, I thought I would take advantage of wearing dark colours. I love my dark colour palette when it comes to clothes. I find it so easy and so flattering as black is very sliming - I have so many black accessories aswell so it doesn't always work pairing the harsh black pieces with pastel clothing. I opted for my Givenchy to be my tag team friend today, as it's so big and I can just throw anything in there - it even fits my laptop! (although I am always cautious as its very heavy and I am paranoid the handles will break!!). At the moment, I am obsessed with sunglasses. I evens ear them at night. I remember my college lecturer telling me that sunglasses aren't just for protection - but they are a fashion accessory, and ever since I have found it acceptable to wear them! My shoes are Karen Millen and what a good investment they were! I am small so I always like to add height and these are perfect! I can walk around in them all day with 0 pain, and that's why I always encourage you ladies to invest that little bit more money into a fantastic pair of shoes that you can wear all the time and feel like you're walking on candyfloss!
