AW15 : Zac Posen

Zac Posen has been brought to my attention recently as his designs have been worn by some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, especially with Rihanna. That beautiful pink gown she wore to her first annual diamond ball was bespoke by the one and only. I have been keeping an eye on his upcoming work, regularly seeing his beautiful pieces being displayed on the red carpets. So yesterday when I saw he was holding a show, I had no choice but to look at the collection. The thing that I loved so much about the show was the appearance of the beautiful, iconic, Naomi Campbell.

The collection overall was very simple and chic. Kind of letting off some VB vibes. The exciting colour palette made the collection more interesting with aspects of red carpet in mind. You could clearly see that Posen not only had the business in mind, but the award season too. Gorgeous cashmere pieces, cut into beautiful silhouettes really gave the collection a feminine and soft vibe. The first pieces clearly being inspired by the 70s which was seen by many designers in the SS15 collections - I was so glad that Posen had brought that feel into the AW. Every look had a different shape. There were no two pieces alike in terms of design. From flowy gowns to structured blazer and trousers, there is something for all women in this collection.

Only one ball gown was included, and Posen sounded somewhat proud with this. Worn by the ageless Naomi Campbell - this certainly brought the glitz and glamour, as well as history, to this outstanding show.
