AW15 : Victoria Beckham

After having the pleasure of visiting Victoria's store (36 Dover Street, London), I was more than excited to see her AW15 Collection debut on the catwalk in New York. The SS15 Collection was so gorgeous and elegant, and that is really what I wanted to see from her this AW. Her first look took the runway, a LBD. Straight away, I knew this collection was going to be something that all us girls wanted.

The collection screamed VB. With a limited colour palette - the collection still oozed variation. With blacks, whites and many shades of grey - VB definitely took the AW vibe into her stride with this new collection. I love that she has incorporated some of her previous looks, to give us something that is new - yet still has that look her clients want. A main highlight from the collection was the big buttons sewn onto the dresses and coats. Something I wasn't expecting. Having said this, it just works. It gives that cosy, off-duty vibe; which I think Victoria wanted to give us whilst still looking effortlessly chic.

Asymmetric shapes and high neck pieces were the features that particularly caught my eye. In Winter, I love wearing turtle necks, aswell as top that cover the chest. I instantly knew that my AW15 inspiration will most likely come from this simple, yet interesting collection.  I loved the limited colour palette as it wasn't too much. Thats what I love about VB as a designer - she doesn't need to show off. Her collection does this talking and collection after collection, it gets better and better. The "just below the knee but above the ankle" booties are shoes that I seriously need to invest in. From Black, light tan and dark blue - these shoes are going to be a hit in AW15, I for one need to snap these up!

The oversized coats still remain victorious for Victoria. Something that she loves. I am truly impressed with this collection. All coats were a statement piece, which is what you truly want with an investment piece - and thats exactly what VB brings to the table. Victoria said herself that she has taken inspiration from her clients in Dover Street - and she has definitely brought something new to NYFW.
