AW15 : Tommy Hilfiger

If I am being completely honest, I never really paid any attention to Tommy Hilfiger. Not because their collections weren't great but because they're not usually my style. However, I am so excited to review this collection because something about it stood out to me. Not only was one of my favourite models walking the show (Gigi Hadid) but I particularly liked the sporty vibe of the whole show. It was something I didn't particularly expect and I was so glad I took the time out to dwell into this collection.

Bloggers from across the world blocked up my Instagram feed this evening from the Tommy Hilifiger show, and just from those shots I had seen - I knew this collection was going to be a good one. The collection itself was entirely sporty. As if the Super Bowl had come back, but to the Tommy show! As I was looking through the catwalk photos, I honestly didn't know what to expect next. Every look was completely unique. From football jerseys branded with "Tommy" on the front, to beautiful coats, to beautiful shoes! As a self-confessed shoeaholic, I was particularly impressed with the option of shoes.

The variety of patterns Hilfiger had incorporated into the collection made the show that bit more exciting, on top of the football-pitch layout. From beautiful checks to structured denim, I was absolutely in my element. Every season we see a hint of sports luxe. Some seasons it's more hot on trend, and others it tends to fade into the background. However, this collection has totally brought that trend forward and I am almost certain that the sports vibe will be a hit this AW! I loved the sports jackets. It was a throwback for me. I used to own one from the british retailer, New Look, and I remember all the girls in my area having the same one. It was great to see them on the catwalk, but obviously in a much more stylish fashion. I absolutely loved the collection and cannot wait for it to hit the stores!
