AW15 : Diane von Furstenberg

I love Diane von Fursenberg, and I was so excited for her show just so I could write about it. Hearing that Kendall Jenner would be opening the show, also made the show more anticipated. I absolutely loved her SS15 collection so much. It was one of my favourites. Every single look was wearable and thats exactly what I was hoping for with this collection. I am also a massive fan of the show "House of DVF" which recently was shown on E! I was addicted, especially as I am such a fan of the fashion industry - it was so refreshing (and somewhat comical) to look behind the scenes of what really goes down at DVF.

Onto the collection itself, I absolutely loved it. When Kendall Jenner hit the runway first with a beautiful crisp - white iconic wrap dressed finished with black fabric - I instantly knew this was going to be yet another fab Diane collection. However, I was pleasantly surprised with what followed. Absolutely different looks that I was not expecting from Diane. A risk that most certainly payed off. Bright sparkles and fabrics, with appearances of a suit really gave the empowerment vibe to the catwalk. The colours were extravagant. From bright reds and blues to chic white and blacks - the colour palette was a khalidoscope. Diana knows the woman body like no other designer, and her pieces are always embracing the shape and beauty of that. I love that Diane has gone beyond the typical AW colour of greys and blacks, and has really embraced the bold, feminine colours. We need a pop of colour during the glum AW seasons!

I loved the coats. Coats are something that I focus on for an AW collection. Diane delivered with a statement monochrome coat, followed by a an oversized number. A variety of looks that I know will definitely appeal to many women's tastes this AW!
