AW14: Burberry Prorsum

I must firstly point out that I was so caught up with blogging about my favourite SS15 shows that I completely forgot about blogging the AW14 ones. The shows took place back in the beginning of the year and I hadn't really started up my blog then - so I didn't post about them. However, as the AW14 season has officially begun, I think it would be appropriate to feature my favourite shows and collections on my blog, so i apologise if its all abit over the place!! When the AW15 shows take place in the beginning of next year, I'll definitely be more organised!

If you follow me on instagram you will know that I am Burberry's biggest fan. I am totally obsessed and I am always in their New Bond Street store whenever I have free time to look about. I love the sophistication and designs that Chrisopher Bailey brings to burberry. It oozes British style, with a unique edge - and that's what I love so much.

This AW14 collection is now in stores, so if you ever pass a Burberry store I would definitely recommend you to take a look! I firstly like the fact that Christopher Bailey has incorporated the traditional trench coat design, initially introduced by Thomas Burberry, and revamped them as capes. Capes and ponchos are exceptionally big this season, in every high street store I can guarantee there will be a burberry inspired cape. PERFECT! Thomas Burberry was after all, a man of exquisite taste and this collection would have certainly not let him down. Collection by collection, Bailey has has given his pieces an increasingly polished look, which Burberry himself would have very much appreciated.

The collection itself was inspired by the "Bloomsbury Girls", naming this season's signature bag "The Bloomsbury". From checked prints to plain colour blocks, to city motifs - The Bloomsbury is the must have bag of the season. They also come in smaller sizes for those who prefer. I love the colour blocked bloomsbury as I think they're just so beautiful and can add a pop to any outfit.

The collection itself was full of hand-painted floral fiery. Perfect for the english roses. These pieces really reflect the british vibe and that is what I love so much. Bailey incorporated floral draped dresses which women can wear for a casual winters lunch or a garden party - but also, featured dressed for the evenings where waists were high, bodices were beautiful and lengths were long. There was an enormous range of products which is perfect for every woman's particular winter style and really reflects the winters dream. Full of hand painted bags and shoes, tapestry totes, blankets, belts, capes and ponchos. I can assure you, the delicacy and attention to detail is impeccable within this collection.
